Happy Birthday Moo!

 It comes once a year – a day that absolutely belongs to my mom and no one else…her birthday. I certainly regret not being there to celebrate such a momentous birthday – her 40th!, but I trust she will have as much fun as can be had in spite of it being a Wednesday.  ¶  Buying gifts for people (particularly for my family) is one of my favorite things to do. And while I can’t remember what I got her last year, I think this year’s gifts will be just as meaningful…some pictures of my recent trip to Beijing – suitable for framing and hanging in her bedroom, and some still-undisclosed gifts making their way via slow-boat from the land of the morning calm.  ¶  LYAMH, moo! Eat some cake for me, please, and I’ll be thinking of you while I eat some of this halloween candy you sent me.
